Building creative cultures
After years of helping our clients rethink their offerings, I noticed an emerging pattern. While many clients were still coming to us for innovative product, service, and experience designs, more and more were looking for help building creative cultures. In response, I launched Organizational Design, a practice that helps organizations understand their customers better and operate in fundamentally human-centered ways, while helping employees create more humane, productive, and fit-for-the-future organizations.
Since then, I have worked with many organizations that have significantly changed the way they think about their customers and their future, including Kaiser Permanente and Mayo Clinic. I also helped build a joint design studio with Intercorp, a conglomerate that sets the standard for services of all sorts, aimed at families in Peru.
Before joining IDEO, I worked at Doblin, a boutique firm that blended management consulting and design. I hold a degree in Product Design from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where I served as a member of the Advisory Board.
